Virtually Adopt A Long Term Foster Cat

Please could you help us to care for our Long Term Foster Cats?

At Yorkshire Cat Rescue we are committed to the care of elderly and ill cats, until it is the right time to say goodbye to them.

Sadly, some of the cats that come through our doors can not be rehomed because they are very old with complex issues, or have a terminal condition. These cats could have 12 months or years ahead of them but we don't feel its appropriate to rehome them as the vet costs and complications could be too much for a new owner.

We are still committed to their care regardless of this and until it is the right time to say goodbye we put them in long term foster care.

In long term foster care they receive all the love and attention they need, while having all their vet bills, food and other costs taken care of until it's time for palliative care and Rainbow Bridge. Due to their age or illness we know that being in a loving home is the best place for them to spend the remainder of their lives, so they will stay in a long term foster home for as long as they have quality of life and be taken care of.

By virtually adopting a Long Term Foster Cat you will help us care for them at the most critical point in their life.

You will help us to cover the costs of their medical treatment and care, for as long as they need us to. You will be helping us to pay for special medical diets, medication and any other care they require. Your generosity will help us keep them comfortable and happy for the rest of their days.

The love and comfort our long term foster carers give to these cats is priceless and we are happy to pay for everything that they need. It is a small part of what we do as a re-homing centre, but it means so much to these very special cats.
